REFLECTION
This module has let me to understand and expand my skills in completing and writing an academic research paper in scholarly way. Although sometimes there may be burnouts and frustrations due to the academic writing for a design student, it has been very insightful and an experience for me to developed this skill as a design student. As for the visual design, and an entertainment design student, it was very fun for me to do. Making layouts, drawing my own illustrations and graphics, and publicized it into the web, I kind of felt some pride and freedom in that work. So that is to say, I quite enjoy this module in the end. I also learned that a visual design layout reflects a person's specialization. When looking at my friends' work, I noticed their layouts and designs reflected their topics and aligned with their specialization. Seeing others' works also helped me reflect upon my own work and implementing my own knowledge and visual design to further enhance the relatability of the graphics and the content. I didn't really expect to learn much in this module, since it is an extension of the previous Research methodology, but this semester actually proved me wrong, I actually learned quite a bunch of knowledge from my peers, lectures, and previous students' works. It was a moment of epiphany I had as the semester was about to near its end. There were some challenges in the writing of the dissertation drafts, that was a struggle I can't forget. An insightful struggle so to say. It helped me write better in a sophisticated manner now, although I'm not too sure if I'll be able to write it again anytime soon in the future. Nonetheless, this module has taught me a lot throughout this semester, and I am thankful for everyone that was involved and beneficial for me in completing it. That being said, I hope in the future that I can further improve my skills as a designer, a writer, and an artist as I look back in this work of mine.
