INSTRUCTIONS
EXERCISE 1
For this exercise, we have to come up with a character design where we will
be using as our main character for sculpting in the future weeks for this
module. I wanted to create a hybrid/anthropomorph character of an orca, it
was inspired by a wrestling mask and a chasracter named Suzie from
Deltarune. Below is the presentation for this exercise.

PROJECT 1
After the character design is approved, we then move to our project 1, where the requirements is to sculpt a detailed skull and a fully polished body of your character. We used the software ZBrush to sculpt our 3D models.
We first had to finish with our skull first to look realistic and detailed as possible before moving onto our character sculpt of blocking stage. Below is the process of project 1.

After learning through the lecture videos on how to sculpt a skull, I then move forward with the character sculpting of the body. Throughout this semester, some minor changes had been installed of the body of the character given from the feedback by Mr. Tuan Muhammad Luqman. Thus, the final body had been changed from the original concept character design.
Final Outcome:
PROJECT 2
After the character body has been sculpted with detail, then comes project 2 with outfit and props. For this we had to follow the method instructed by Sir during lectures and tutorials. For the outfit, initially I wanted some of the props to look metallic, although now it looked out of place, I wanted to fix it at the end and make it almost the same as the original material of the skin. Below is the process of project 2.
After fixing through some mistakes and adjustments to the props, hair, and material texture, I then proceeded with coloring the character as similar to the original concept design.
Final Outcome:

Finally comes the final posing and rendering of the character sculpting. For the pose, I wanted to follow like that of a wrestler/wrestling match or just a power pose in general. So I took some inspirations from Pinterest and went with a heroic and winning pose. After the sculpting was done, then comes the recoloring, this one was a little difficult to follow as I did in project 2, therefore some minor changes happened during the coloring process for the posing, making the character look slightly different at the end.
The last thing we had to do for project 3 is to come up with a concept art illustration using the 3D model as the primary base and subject. For the background and overall lighting and texture, I used ibis Paint to make some final touchups and editing to make it seem like a comic book art style as Sir had suggested for me to follow.

REFELCTION
This module has let me learn how to use ZBrush as a 3D software pretty quickly in the span of 14 weeks. I thought that there would be struggles in using the new software during the span of this semester, which I thought wrong, and I was glad for that. Learning 3D sculpting was a new experience for me since I never get the time or have the patience to learn 3D using Blender during my free time. So learning and using ZBrush was actually quite fun in the end for me, it was easy to use and navigate through, with pretty much enough tutorial videos to follow if I were to be lost in something.
As for character anatomy, I know I haven't really achieved in understanding the buildup and just anatomy in general, especially for an anthropomorphic character instead of a humanoid. Which I think was my own downfall at the beginning, I honestly think I did a good job as a first timer in 3D modeling, I know I could've done better with the time I had, but in all honesty, I'm pretty proud with the little guy I came to create up with. He's a decent guy, trust. In hopes of a better future in 3d sculpting and modeling, I hope that this module will help me achieve better as a designer and a sculpting artist, and with time, I can actually be great in this field of entertainment design. I actually quite love and enjoy building up the orca character throughout this module. So I hope I can use this knowledge and also future ones to create better ones soon.
Whenever I look at my friends' and peers' works and their model design, I'm always flabbergasted at how good they do, and honestly I was quite guffawed throughout the entire final weeks of class. it actually taught me to never give up, and to actually do better in the future. And with that I'm actually thinking of creating another 3D model design during my semester break. There may be updates, there may be not. But I'm hoping I could bring some good news under this post with some pretty updates, I actually really enjoyed sculpting. Not great at it, but I got the passion!
